Hotel Overview

The 4-star Kasteel Engelenburg is located in the beautiful region of Veluwe. A beautiful building with a history, it offers peaceful surroundings and fine accommodation and services.
This impressive estate offers a golf course, luxurious accommodation, conference facilities, and is a romantic location for a wedding. Guests can enjoy cycling and hiking along the Veluwezoom and the IJsselvallei or take the ferry to the historic village of Bronkhorst, that with its 150 inhabitants is the smallest town in The Netherlands. The historic hanseatic city of Zutphen is located 10 km from the hotel.
Kasteel Engelenburg's restaurant Judith is located in a lovely closed veranda from the 19th century. The restaurant is nicely located by the canal with a view over the estate and the golf course. The restaurant serves quality cuisine and has the ideal atmosphere for a business meeting or a romantic dinner.

The comfort rooms are located in the Coach House and the Orangerie, mostly on the first floor. Each double room is uniquely decorated, with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere as the foundation. The interior has been carefully selected from the collections of Nobilis and Designers Guild. The rooms have a surface area of approximately 25 m². The bathroom features a shower. Guests can choose between a double bed or two separate beds.

The luxurious double rooms are located in the Coach House and the Orangerie. Each luxury room is individually decorated with rich fabrics from Nobilis and Designers Guild, complemented by antique furniture. The rooms have a surface area of approximately 35 m². The bathroom features a bathtub and a separate shower.

The Orangerie, originally used from 1828 to shelter tropical plants during the winter, now houses a stunning suite. The atmosphere of the past has been preserved with palm trees, large windows, stylish decor, and a 7-meter-high ceiling. The suite features a terrace overlooking the moat.

The luxurious double rooms are located in the Cape Dutch building. Each luxury room is individually decorated with rich fabrics from Nobilis and Designers Guild, complemented by antique furniture. “Wonderful stay with beautiful surroundings”

The hotel is set in a beautiful location with lots of wildlife. We particularly enjoy sitting on the lovely terrace when we are there. We have visited twice and we certainly hope to be back again on one of our Europe roadtrips. The rooms are comfortable and food is great too. It is a lovely stay and we would highly recommend it.

This is a stunning location—the garden is a dreamlike setting, perfect for enjoying exceptional breakfasts and dinners. I could easily spend the entire day watching the birds that inhabit the park, all of them incredibly beautiful, especially on a sunny day.

We decided to stay here for just one night on our way to our final destination, but had I known it was such a beautiful place, we would have extended our stay. Kasteel Engelenburg is a historic hotel with lots of atmosphere which offers delicious breakfasts and dinners. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a spacious and comfortable room in what I believe were the converted stables. It had its own terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens. We will definitely make an effort to come back!
