The property was very clean. The kitchen was great. The bedroom decor was very fresh and calming. The lounge area was very cosy especially with the open fire on. The location was perfect for the square in Broughton. The owner was lovely and very helpful. Communication was great.

The quirky character and charm of Brock cottage. Easy access to the key - providing you're sent the code by Booking.com! The neighbours dog and cat greeting us. Proximity to the lake district, and then walking to the pubs at the end of the day.

We loved the location. Peaceful and quiet. Loved the local bakery. Saw parts of the Lakes that we haven't seen before. We loved that it was on 3 stories. A beautiful character cottage with lots of history. We enjoyed the local very friendly cat! Easy enough to drop off our stuff in the courtyard and then park for free on the square.

Great little cottage just off the village square, spotlessly clean with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Lovely village, good access to many walks, especially around the Broughton Manor grounds. A couple of good shops, the bakery does some fantastic pies/cakes/sandwiches. A good pub in the square (Manor Arms) who have a really good choice of real ales. Worth a visit.
