The room was big, clean and bed comfortable. The shower was good water pressure. Location near the beach as well as supermarkets so easy to get food.

The location is excellent—less than a two-minute walk to the beach! There are plenty of shops nearby, including Tesco, Boots, Savers and Iceland, which is very handy if you need anything. You’ll also find a variety of local restaurants offering different cuisines, from Italian to Turkish. The guesthouse is ideally situated between the train station and the beach, which made it very convenient for us to drop off our luggage at the property. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean—comparable to a five-star hotel. The room came with thoughtful amenities such as toiletries, tea, coffee, sugar and bottled water, which we really appreciated during the extremely hot weather. The property has had a recent refurbishment, with new carpets and updated bathroom fittings and furniture, which added to the comfort and freshness of the room. The staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. They kindly allowed us to leave some extra belongings both before check-in and after check-out so we could make the most of our time at the beach. There’s also a pub and restaurant downstairs. Although I don’t drink and didn’t visit the pub, we couldn’t hear any noise from below and enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep. We had a brilliant stay and will definitely return. Next time, I’ll make sure to try the restaurant as well. I can highly recommend The Crown Bar & Guesthouse.
