We spent a night in the early part of December for a Julbord celebration. We took a guest and we have separate rooms in different buildings. Rooms were a bit small but extremely clean and the bathrooms were a bit dated. We wouldn't spend more than a night with our selection. The Julbord was great with both hot and cold options. However, the desert buffet could have been more creative. Breakfast was very good with excellent selections, fresh and tasty. The main hall of the castle is lovely with a huge fireplace, billiards, bar and nice guests! The general ambiance of the place is warm and old worldly. We would recommend visiting this castle and partaking of the treats.

Very good filling breakfast. Staff receptionist Ann and her team couldn't do enough for us such nice people. My only concern was lack of transport as all taxis cancelled at the last minute. Again the staff stepped in to drive us. Wonderful people. The other concern was that we expected to stay in the castle not the outbuildings. This should be stipulated in the brochures.

Lejondale slott is unique hotel (18 century )with magnificent views on the lake , quit and peaceful for long cruise trip.
