It was a last minute booking and having read the reviews were very pleased with our stay. We were the only guests at the time, Penny and Neil couldn't have done more for us. Our twin room was spotless, had shower gel, selection of tea/coffee/hot choc and biscuits. Breakfast menu was fabulous and I had requested gluten free which had been arranged for me. Food was hot, well presented and very tasty. On our 2nd night, we didn't feel like going out to eat, so bought nibbles (dips, olives etc) and Penny & Neil provided cutlery, napkins, bin bags etc for us to eat our buffet in the dining area (as opposed to our room) - this was requested on the room info sheet. We completely understood and respected that and were very grateful for them providing the alternative. Location was great for our needs in that it was less than 10 miles to both Greenway House (NT) 3.4miles and Coleton Fishacre (NT)2.5miles, and 2.7miles to Kingswear (where there is a ferry to Dartmouth and a couple of pubs). We had a car, however the info sheet in the room did mention a bus service - we didn't use this so can't comment. My mother forgot her walking stick and Penny & Neil were more than happy for her to borrow a pair which was a great help. I noticed dog towels/blankets for canine visitors and even a shoe shine kit (not used by us). Parking on site was super helpful as well. It was a really lovely stay and we would definitely return another time.

Sometimes you happen upon a great B&B which selfishly you hate to recommend in case it becomes so popular that you will never be able to use it again. Raddicombe Lodge is one such. Penny and Nick were great. Nothing was too much trouble and being located centrally between NT properties and Fishing towns the ideal place to be. We will certainly hope to come again.
