The studio is accessed through the owner’s garage and down a solid stairwell to the basement. This information is not to put potential visitors off, it is to give readers an accurate description. The stair has an excellent bannister and was not difficult to take luggage down the stairs and into the flat. The car is parked off the street in the driveway in front of said garage. The flat itself has a lovely little garden area (below street level) to sit out in, and accessed by patio doors in the kitchen area, and the flat is very well equipped and cosy as others have said. Check in was simple, we arrived just after 3 pm and the owner met us. He was helpful, explaining how things worked in the studio, then left us to settle in. The studio is very quiet, no street noise. There is an excellent boulangerie minutes walking just down the hill. We would ourselves plan on revisiting this excellent, compact studio in the future when travelling down france from Calais.

Excellent facilities. Nice kitchen area. Great to have chairs to sit in to watch TV or read, not just the bed. Very large shower space. Owner was really great with communication, even though I don't speak French well at all, and Gilles doesn't speak English. No problems at all. Showed us how to use the facilities as well, which was great. Only wish we stayed longer

A very comfortable home from home in a quiet residential area. Good facilities and nice little touches like coffee pods being provided for machine. Fabulous shower room although shower head was a little Temperamental (just needs a screw to be tightened) Parking was off street in front of the garage doors, felt pretty safe (important to us as we had 2 kayaks on top of car). A short walk to patisserie and slightly longer (15 mins) into centre of town for sightseeing and dining. Gilles was a very welcoming host. We would stay again if we’re in the area.
