This is a great place to stay. It has everything you need for a relaxing enjoyable holiday. Great accommodation fully equipped with full cooker microwave washing machine dishwasher and a BBQ outside. Really comfortable beds, excellent private outside space with comfortable loungers picnic bench clothes line etc, great pool and a great host. There are bikes available and a play barn with tabletennis basketball hoop and loads of games everything to keep children and adults happy. We would highly recommend Gites de Cognac. Laban, the host, is a mine of information on the locality, restaurants and places to cycle and is very helpful. We loved it here and we will be back. This was the most relaxing holiday in a most beautiful setting that we have ever had in all our travels. Thank you Laban.

Beautiful gite wonderful host great pool. This is a little bit of heaven and we would highly recommend a stay here. Our gite was a two bedroomed bungalow with evey comfort and convenience. The outside space is beautiful and shaded by the most wonderful willow so you can stay outside in the cool even on the hottest day. The pool is big and has plenty of sunloungers and umbrellas but if, like us, you like to swim and go into the shade La Distillerie is the gite for you. All the gites have their own outdoor private space with sunloungers a picnic table and even a clothes line. The host Laban is so helpful and can advise places to visit and cycle and the best of restaurants in the area. We had a BBQ which we used a lot and a full kitchen including a full cooker microwave coffee maker fridge freezer washing machine and dishwasher. All the comforts of home in a most relaxing and pretty space. The bed was particularly comfortable and a very large double. There was a peace to this place that we have never found anywhere else in all our years of travelling ( we are an older couple) This is a very family friendly place with a little playground for children and lots of space for the adults. Our gite also had a highchair and a step for children to stand on to reach the bathroom sink etc. There is also a play barn with a basketball hoop table tennis and assorted games . They have a number of bicycles for people to use though we brought our own. It's the perfect area to cycle as it is not too hilly and the countryside is beautiful with gorgeous little villages dotted everywhere. There are 5 gites and all the people we met while there were very nice. If u like a city, Cognac is only 10 minutes away with loads of shops and places of interest to visit plus good supermarkets like Intermarche where you can get everything from fresh fish and meat vegetables and cheeses to all the basics like tea coffee milk etc. Thank you Laban and Catherine. We loved it and we will be back.

Beautiful setting, fully stocked with all equipment needed, provision of play stuff and bikes was a real plus. Pool was superb. Laban was a fantastic host.
