Great location, we walked into the town in minutes several times each day. Brecon itself is a lovely town, very friendly and you must try the ice cream palour just a few doors up the street. Brecon is also a great base to explore the Brecon Beacons from. I also was suffering from an iffy back just before the holiday so was a little concerned about sleeping in a strange bed, but the bed was very comfortable and I had the best nights sleep I'd had for weeks.
