Veronica’s Guesthouse is a magical place to stay. Veronica is friendly, kind, generous and helpful. We were welcomed as if we were friends with shots of palinka and delicious kofta balls and cake made by her mum. Our room and the common areas were very comfortable, well equipped and charmingly decorated. Our breakfasts and dinners, mostly made from home grown ingredients by Veronica’s mum, were outstanding. The village of Breb is a delight. We were sad to leave.

The rooms were immaculately clean and spacious. Large bathroom with walk in shower. Lavish breakfast. Veronica is delightful, friendly and cannot do enough for the guests The house is beautiful, modern and immaculately clean.

Excellent breakfast and dinner. It was not a unified meal, but authentic home-made: sausages, eggs, cheese, bread, cakes, soup, meat roast, home-made brandy, etc. The chef Radu is excellent. A large garden and a stream, clean and peaceful surroundings. It is possible for anyone to make coffee and tea during the day, to refresh yourself with homemade brandy and cake. The modern, newly built guest house is in the middle of the village in a quiet location. There is a small grocery store nearby. But the biggest plus is the owner Veronica: kind, helpful, beautiful and always smiling. She always advises, recommends, explains. An ideal place as a base to discover the Maramures area with its customs, traditions and culture. I highly recommend it.
