The renovation of the castle is a recent family project, so there are still some finishing touches to be done.
The swimming pool and jacuzzi are accessible from May to September.

It’s a crumbling old pile of a stately home, but what a superb and unique place to stay. Our room was huge, slightly decrepit but very comfortable and quiet. The Table d’hote 3 course dinner outside on the terrace was completely homemade and every course was a delight. There’s also a pleasant pool here to relax by.

Fabulous! Beautifully set in spacious grounds which included a well maintained, relaxing pool area, sculpture park, many places to relax and some gorgeous pigs (fenced in). The Chateau is thoughtfully decorated referencing the history of the its links to the early days of aviation. Room spacious, clean and comfortable with lots of cupboard space. Parking ample; we felt bikes were safe and secure. Electric charging point for bikes and cars. We had supper sitting outside the chateau. Tables were laid with white linen table clothes and silver cutlery which added to the ambience. We had three courses which were light and perfect for a summer’s evening. Options of wine and an extra cheese course available. All food local (as far as possible) and of a good quality, fresh and plentiful. Good value. Staff were available, attentive snd helpful. Château is within easy strolling distance of the pretty town of Bouchemaine which has a great boulangerie, shops, supermarket and several restaurants

Very friendly staff, great information prior to the visit. A very personal experience with a family like dinner outside the Câteau. Great reception when we arrived and throughout our short stay. Lovely outdoor pool with dedicated bar area. Good parking facilities and electric vehicle charger. Good breakfast in a lovely period environment. The Château has been renovated in the past few years and is an absolute joy. Angers is a beautiful town with some fascinating attractions and excellent restaurants, a lovely town to discover.
