More than 10 years since my last visit, it has nice improvements in the property. But still feels cozy and familiar as before. Staff is very friendly

We had an amazing and relaxing stay at Monte da Vilarinha. The setting is beautiful, the room was tastefully decorated and very clean (high priority for a cleanliness freak like me!), and the bed and pillows were comfortable, enabling a good night’s sleep. Marília and her colleague at breakfast were always very kind and helpful, and their demeanor added to the feeling of peacefulness. Breakfast itself was delicious, as other reviewers have said, and though it usually starts from 08:30, they did make it available a bit earlier for their hiking customers. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Very peaceful location in the countryside but close to the main town and beaches. Fabulous breakfast, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice.

I loved this place! I’m so glad I discovered it.. yes it’s a little off grid and the roads leading are full of pot holes… beware if you are coming from burgau like I did it brought me up a very bad road but there’s a good road in also and then you just have a little do do on not so great roads. That didn’t bother me as the tranquility of this place is worth a few bumps of the road. The frogs chorusing at night and birds singing! Bliss…Ok I went slightly off season and not sure I’d like it as much if there was loads of kids there in the peak times but I had my 2 dogs and they were very welcome and happy there! Staff all very nice. I had a little studio room and it was everything we wanted and more. The grounds are fantastic and you are only 15-20 mins to coast. I was supposed to stay for one night and I stayed for a second as I loved so much.. in fact I would have stayed for a lot longer if I could have and will stay again without a doubt! Great breakfast choice also!
