Staff were very friendly and helpful, free parking with plenty of spaces just over the road, road was a good size and clean. Dog friendly in the rooms and the pub. Hotel rooms had its own separate entrance so you don't have to go through the pub. We ate breakfast at the pub which was superb perfect location for walks.

The staff were very welcoming which was nice as our visit was in connection with a family bereavement. They took our cases up to the room, went the extra mile with little things that they didn't have to do. The bed was comfortable, the TV was huge, lots of tea, coffee and biscuits. The steak and ale pie was excellent, we were stuffed. The chocolate fudge cake and ice cream was lovely and even I couldn't eat any more. The real ale was lovely. This is a lovely friendly and busy village pub with an open fire, and we felt really at home. We will be visiting again soon for family reasons and will stay again. Having stayed in many impersonal bland hotels it was refreshing to stay in a pub with so much character and warmth.

great hosts very accomodating! beds were super comfy and would stay here again in a heartbeat. everything was on point.
