Beds were quite uncomfortable and walls are paper thin. Location is good, staff were very friendly, breakfast was good value. Shame it was the most comfortable bed. You could hear everything through the walls but luckily this was just people walking back to rooms and there weren’t any rowdy or noisy guests. I would have liked a kettle in the room.

Excellent location, easy to find, smooth check-in, spacious room (I had a room for 2, booked as a single). Overall, the place had the air of a monastery that has known better times and is slowly turning into an endearingly ramshackle hostel. This is a positive comment BTW, I found it all quite charming, including the posters with blaring typography advertising language lessons, the activities of the local 'circolo culturale' and of course the international Thomas of Aquinas society (SITA).
