This is the perfect place to stay if you're visiting Bologna. The location couldn't be better, you're not more than a 10 min walk from most of the main tourist sites and yet it's still quiet during the evening (unless it's a Friday/Saturday but it dies down early enough). Maria is a fantastic host - not only did she give me time to settle after a long morning of travel, but she spent time explaining her favourite places to visit, have dinner, etc. The whole apartment and my room was spotless, plus you get access to coffee, juice and snacks as needed. A truly lovely stay, can't recommend enough!

It had a personal feel that set it apart. The host was brilliant, suggesting things to see and places to eat that were really great. Also the touches in her home from books about Bologna to lovely snacks made it very special.

I would give Maria’s place a 10+ if possible. Location, room, common area: all perfect. The breakfast is simple but delicious in a quaint cafe around the corner. In the kitchen water, tea, coffee, fruit, cookies, yogurt are always available. Maria is warm, thorough, and goes out of her way to give the best tips on Bologna. Look no further: you’re lucky if you can stay here!
