According to Colombian law, only non-resident tourists are eligible for VAT exemption. To confirm tourist status at check-in, you may present the immigration stamp in your passport or the Andean Immigration Card or Mercosur Card, which details the foreign visitor's entry into Colombia (date and type of entry). Alternatively, follow immigration authorities' verification instructions.Colombian citizens holding dual nationality are not considered foreign tourists or non-resident visitors in Colombia and therefore do not qualify for VAT refunds (as per Article 1.6.1.23.3 of Decree 1067/2015).Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the obligation to pay the tax upon arrival at the hotel.*We offer a free airport-hotel-airport shuttle service every 30 minutes, available 24 hours a day. Upon arrival at El Dorado Airport, please proceed to the first floor, in front of Exit 1. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable, almost luxurious. We stayed there so that we could be at the airport by 3.30 am, and so didn’t have the opportunity to relax and enjoy it more. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the shuttle bus was very convenient.
