Absolutely the best stay on our New Zealand trip! Walnut Block Cottages is stunning, with beautiful cottages, a wonderful breakfast, and a complimentary bottle of delicious wine. We loved relaxing on the terrace with fresh bread, cheese, and wine in the evenings. Super convenient location, perfect for trips to Kaikōura and Milford Sound. Highly recommended – a true gem!

My husband and I loved everything about Walnut Block Cottage 1. The location is perfect both in terms of its close proximity to Blenheim CBD, the vineyards and only 30 minutes to the seaside village of Picton, as well as the properties own outlook on its vineyard and the walnut tree from which it gets its name. The cottage itself has everything you need, is roomy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well fitted out and we were very appreciative of the breakfast items left for us to enjoy. The deck has a table and chairs, where we enjoyed sharing a bottle of Walnut Cottage Sauvignon Blanc as we ate dinner ( it was so lovely out there, that we cancelled our dinner booking and opted for a take away from the same place, so we could enjoy the view and watch the sunset). We were also very appreciative of how accomodating Helen was in letting us drop our bags off early. Our only regret was that we didn't book a longer stay.
