I received a text in the morning offering us an free upgrade from our family room with a private bathroom on the first floor to a room with an en-suite, not to sure what the difference is but the room was cosy and perfect for a one night stay, (2 adults and 2 children) we only spent 10mins in it at check in time, then to sleep but it was really clean, beds were comfortable, bedding smelt lovely, plenty pillows and the duvet was warm. Nice mini fridge in the room, kettle, cups, coffee, milk and sugar sachets. Bathroom was small, didn’t use the shower so can’t comment on that, towels were provided. Dining room was laid out nice. No menus, but we were all offered a full English (even my 3 year old) and the cooked breakfast was delicious, you could help yourself to juice, milk and cereal, coffee was served super hot with a jug of milk. The only couple of points the owners could look at and consider, but be assured they wouldn’t stop me from booking again, are the lids on the cereal containers were dusty, the milk and juice although cold were on a shelf over a radiator which was on. Our bathroom door didn’t shut and there was an extension lead with the fridge and kettle plugged in which I’m not sure is safe in a hotel. Overall I would recommend this hotel, thank you for a lovely stay.

Andrea was very warm, welcoming and helpful. Room facilities were quite generous. Lots of tea etc and a fridge.

Hotel was lovely, from entering to our room it smelt lovely & the room was clean & tidy. Tea/coffee facilities with a fridge, bathroom spotless. Beds were comfy, my partner actually said it was the best sleep he had in years! Lol breakfast was also really nice. They welcomed us like family & nothing was too much trouble....we actually ended up booking an extra night 😃 Perks free parking & location is fantastic! Would definately stay again.
