A smooth, fuss-free stay. Check-in was simple, the room was clean and comfortable, and everything worked as expected. Exactly what you want when you’ve been on the road all day. We were only there for one night, so didn't really have a choice to explore the other amenities the hotel offered.

Everything was fine, the best breakfast we've had in Iceland. A fridge and electric keetle in the room were great to have.

During a 12 day drive around Iceland, we stayed in about 10 guesthouses and hotels. They were all expensive and the standards varied enormously. Shared bathrooms, rooms barely large enough to move, landladies who made us feel 10 years old etc :-) I received requests to leave feedback from each one but I'm doing this for just three. From outside, the hotel Bifrost looked a bit gloomy, though my wife remarked that the black stone blended in with the lava rock. Once inside, I realised that finally we were in a proper hotel. What bliss! The best hotel during our trip! The room was large, ensuite functional, bed comfy, restaurant excellent. Okay, very expensive but by then we'd realised that everything in Iceland was expensive. Our dinner was first class cuisine!
