Nice location right at Durbar square. The room was spacious and clean, overlooking Durbar square, the shower powerful and hot. Got woken up by temple bells and chanting which we liked.

SHIVA GUEST HOUSE Bhaktapur, Nepal is surely one of the World’s most unique boutique hotels, with a Dress Circle view of breathtaking Bhaktapur’s Durbar Square from your bedroom window! Are you looking for truly unmatched, authentic travels with a spiritual and literal awakening? Temple bells and prayers commence at dawn right underneath your window. I loved it and found it so exotic and inspiring watching worshipers, that I was happy to start my day extra early and pack in more adventures. KAILASH, the kind and caring Manager delighted me by allocating room 203 with stunning views. Shhhh! Privileged information. As is often the case in Nepal, operatic dogs sometimes launch into arias at night, but the scrumptious Shiva breakfast will soon fortify you against any loss of sleep. Shiva Guest House is also a restaurant serving delicious food and the niche little Bar is always open. Kailash is also extremely helpful with transport needs. He provided me with RAJU an excellent driver, whose services and Kailash’s care and concern, extended beyond my actual stay at Shiva Guest House. Kailash, Santa and the whole Shiva Team will ensure you have wonderful and truly memorable stay and your Shiva experience will be a top talking point with your friends and family when you return home!
