Our bathroom was a little tired…a few mould stains and some enamel missing from the bath , but it was clean and the water was hot. The beds were v comfy and the room easily heated ( autumn) . Lots of local info which was good and interesting. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We loved the visiting cat!

The property had a lovely, welcoming feeling and the staff were really lovely and friendly. They even had a friendly cat who welcomed us to the hotel, making it feel like a home from home! The hotel felt quite spacious and comfortable.

Receptionists were helpful and friendly. The owners live on the land (separate house) and use permaculture in their garden which I appreciate. You can take your dog out and watch the chickens. The bed was really comfy and the sheets and pillows are good. Clean throughout. There was an unusual smell when I arrived in the afternoon which wasn't present when I went down for breakfast. If you want a cooler room ask for the ground or first floor as the second floor has a glass roof which adds to the issue mentioned in other reviews. I was there on the 21st of June. Humid but cloudy. It wasn't a problem so much.
