The room was spacious, and the bed comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities were in the room plus an iron and ironing board. The pub is in a lovely area and is quite quirky. Background music was very much to my liking. The food menu was varied and great sized portions, all freshly cooked. The staff were very friendly.

Location in lovely walking country close to the Greensand Way. The friendly staff and excellent evening meal and real ale. We walked through the woods and across the fields from Betchworth rail station (you need a map and sense of direction), although I guess most others would arrive by car or bus (bus stop directly outside pub). Train direct to Gatwick airport.

Supper was very good, along with excellent service. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience and would stay there again. Recommended for an 'olde worlde' experience in a modern setting.
