I love the location and the building layout itself. The lounge is comfortable and has coffee and cold drinks to buy. A good space to hang out in .

First read the Wikipedia page about the neighbourhood "Kreuzberg". If you like this neighbourhood, with many (art)students, nice affordable restaurants, to go out, and also close to the centre, this place has the best price for value one can expect from a hostel. When I read the contents of the negative reviews for this place it seems more like a smear tactic/campaign than giving a review that comes close to the truth. I been in over 50 hostels in Western Europe and this place doesn't seem to get the amount of credit it deserves. I did read a review that is so much "to a T" that i will just quote since i share the same meaning (as a male in a male only dorm): "stayed in a female only dorm and it’s better then i expected since i read the reviews. you will have to put on the sheets by yourself. the pillow and duvet felt like new and were super cosy. big room, high ceilings, large windows, really did a lot to make my experience better. although it is a bit creaky and dusty/dirty but it’s an old building. it will have flaws. common area takes you travelling back in time. the hostel does get cleaned by the staff. there is night time security (if we noticed correctly). location is good, choice of bars, parks, food and services + train nearby. although an above average amount of drug addicts roam the streets, they seem to be pacific but be cautious."

i like the location and the style of the building. the design of the reception lounge is especially cool. the showers and toilets have good water pressure and easy to adjust temperature - in the shower. the keycards worked fine.

Location of the hostel is amazing everything is in walking distance, great infrastructure. We stayed at the private room it was clean and comfortable, a bit small but for the money that we paid it was more than enough
