It is very handy when we visit our son who lives virtually next door! It needs a bit of TLC but the rooms are always spotlessly clean and of a good size.

The staff helped us get a new room when we had issues which was nice. I very much liked the breakfast, the food varied a little day to day which I liked. The construction wasn't loud when we were there but the outside was pretty dirty because of it. Not their fault though. Very high ceiling also giving an airy feel.

It was an interesting historic industrial era building to stay in. We got used to the smell of the metal work that seemed to persist after all these years. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was absolutely perfect! Our room was clean and very quiet, and staff were very friendly. Great to have a room with opening windows! We appreciated the onsite car park, albeit the extra fee seemed expensive, given it was inside a derelict building at the back of the hotel. We didn't use other hotel facilities so can't comment on those but they looked appreciated by others traveling in groups. Public transport was at acceptable walking distance
