Apartment Hotel Overview

The Alpenglühn offers breathtaking views of the Bavarian Alps.
Including a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable seating area with TV, each apartment is decorated in a modern colour scheme. The adjustable beds feature comfort mattresses for extra support.
The town of Berchtesgaden is located directly by the Watzmann Mountain, the third-highest mountain in Germany. The Berchtesgaden National Park is popular with Nordic walkers and hikers.
The Austrian town of Hallein, famous for its salt mine, is a 15-minute drive across the German-Austrian border. Lake Chiemsee can be reached in 40 minutes by car via the A8 motorway.

The Watzmann apartment was well-appointed, spacious and spotlessly clean. Facilities and Alpengluhn were excellent as was the breakfast. The hotel is a 20-25 minute walk from the centre of Berchtesgaden; take the route past the salt works.

We had a lovely stay at Alpenglühn. The apartment is very spacious and we loved the pool, especially after a day’s hiking in the mountains. It is in a perfect location to explore the area around Berchtesgaden and the Königssee as it is on the main bus route and the buses are free with the Berchtesgaden guest card.
