Lovely rural area, natural environment, great food on a authentic agriturismo and Matteo is a superb host. This was our second visit to Testone and we really enjoyed staying a few days to explore the area more.

Beautiful surroundings- on an organic farm rearing sheep, goats, cattle and pigs, plus vegetable and fruit growing. Stunning views from gigantic granite boulders behind the farm. Cork oaks had just been stripped of their bark and were a striking deep reddish brown. Matteo speaks excellent English and is a fantastic cook - we ate lots of tastily prepared food grown on the farm.

Testone is set in a quiet and beautiful farm setting. It's a little difficult to get to (car is a must), but is well worth it! It was great seeing the cows and sheep on the farm. The breakfast was great and most if not all cured meats and cheeses are produced on the property. The fresh ricotta was one of my personal favorites and the cured meats were extremely flavorful and expertly prepared. The dinners were outstanding and were very traditional Sardinian cuisine. We were extremely lucky to have an unexpected surprise when we ate dinner here - su filindeu (the rarest pasta in Italy)! This was really cool and appreciated! Matteo was an outstanding host and was extremely kind and helpful.
