I arrived in Belpasso after dark and was totally dependent on my GPS to get me to the property. I did finally reach it but with the dearth of street signs which is really typical of Italian towns and cities, it was not easy. Parking was great for the location which was in the old city. I was given a voucher for breakfast at a local cafe and given instructions as to how to reach it. The owner/manager wrote "Cafe 7000" on the voucher and so I was looking for a cafe that was named "Cafe 7000". I followed his instructions and arrived at a very large cafe but it's name was not "Cafe 7000". I walked all around the probably 10-block area of what may have been downtown Belpasso without finding the Cafe 7000. Then I tried to return to the B&B and it was at the top of the hill in Belpasso. I climbed up several streets and could not find where I had parked my car and where the B&B was. This is the first time I ever got "lost" in an old Italian city but it was frightening. I called the owner/manager who did not speak much English but referred me to his girlfriend who did. I had found a place where I could sit, next to the old, large church in the town so I could use that as a landmark, but his girlfriend could not figure out where that was. She told me to try to find someone who spoke both English and Italian and then to call her back. I was successful in finding an older lady who graciously helped me. After the phone conversation, she took me back to the first large cafe I had seen and as I approached the cafe from a different direction, written on their sign which was quite large and over the outdoor portion of the bar was "Cafe Sette Mille". I have forgotten most of the Italian that I once knew but I suddenly realized that there would be no "Cafe 7000" because he had shortened the title to write on the voucher.

Delicious fresh pastries for breakfast. Some issues with the kitchen facilities but the owner quickly remedied by making the coffee and helping in the kitchen. So clean, high ceilings and doors to open to balcony made it feel spacious, and very convenient to travel to Mt Etna.
