The fine print
Please note that driver accommodation and driver's meals are free of charge at our Car Park. Although the Google maps may show you the distance to World's End as 8.6 kms, that trail is closed by the government. Actual distance to Horton Plains and World's End from the Glenrock is 67 kms (one way)( We provide excursions to Horton Plains and Adam's Peak and more).Vehicles must be parked at our car park, 700 m away and we will safely take you in our off road shuttle to the hotel. Please contact the hotel(ideally with a local phone number which can be easily purchased at the airport). so that we can help you with directions and information(Some google map recommended may not be travelable/viable mainly due to road conditions).While free WiFi facilities are available, only the Mobitel mobile carrier coverage is available. Spa therapies have to be booked at least five days prior to the Check In Date and available only subject to the availability of the therapist. Liquor, wine and beer are available in room and at restaurant.Please inform The Glenrock in advance of your expected arrival time . You may use the Special Requests box in communicating with the property directly or through the communication methods given in your confirmation. Photo identification and credit card are required prior to check-in.Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. This is a really special place. Beautifully designed rooms embedded in nature; we were upgraded to the river side lodge which was a treat and a very unique experience as it feels like you're in the middle of the jungle. Spa treatments are excellent, and so is the food (especially the Sri Lankan curry; all made with unique local produce). As other people have said here, the most amazing thing about Glenrock is the people. It is hard to put into words just how attentive they are. Nothing is too much! Dumi took us on a wonderful day trip which gave us a real feel for the area, and from this we learnt a lot about rural Sri Lankan life. When one of us didn't feel well, the care they provided was outstanding. All in all a wonderful experience and we'd love to come back here one day.

We loved the hospitality, the ambiance, the spa. The food was good but can be improved, tough meat and the river fish had too many bones. The staff kindly replaced it with chicken which was good but the hotel could improve on their cuisine. We loved staying on the river, but it does make a lot of noise.

Nothing to say anything. Absolutely perfect everything pretty much. Highly recommended this place. Mr Asanka (manager) and crew was absolutely incredible. If you’re going to Sri Lanka please do not miss this place. Absolutely breathtaking views.

The place was stunning, the people were charming, the food was great…..we really enjoyed all the activities. Definitely worth a visit
