Room is big, spacious and clean. Truly very accessible to Birds Nest, around 10 minutes walk and you'll be there. Towels were also provided at the gym.

We booked the Intercon Beijing Beichen as we were catching a concert nearby and wanted to just walk back from the performance. Best decision ever! Firstly we came in from Beijing Capital Airport so this was just a 30 minute ride away. It was a 20min walk from the Beijing National Stadium (Bird Nest) so we felt particularly fortunate to just stroll back through the crowds waiting for their rides after the performance. Secondly the hotel is lovely. Large rooms, clean, fab service and an amazing buffet breakfast with sparkling wine and bloody Mary’s. The range was great, with traditional such as noodles, various steamed buns and modern options. Service is exceptional. Everyone was willing to provide information and advice. Service is practical and helpful, though maybe just not that friendly but I prefer smart and professional all the time. For example, we wanted to order delivery late at night but we didn’t have a local number. One of the receptionists helped by providing her number so that we could get food! The indoor pool is lovely too. Great to stretch after a long day and to avoid the sun. Do try the Chinese restaurant too. The Peking duck is really good!

Truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at: enormous, clean, spacious room and bathroom, bottled water available every day, amazing views over the former Olympic Village, and very friendly staff, plus perfectly located next to (connected even!) to the exhibition centre, where I was spending most of my days.
