Great on route location for us in Loire region Owner is a brilliant cook and host Parking right outside Able to get an evening meal , 3 courses, at a great price Lovely spacious room Peaceful away from it all location

An idyllic hidden location on an island in the middle of the Loire river, south-west of Angers. An artist community with a beautiful church carved into the rock in the centre of it. What an unexpected pleasure! We turned up on a day when all restaurants were closed and our hosts kindly agreed to prepare a meal for us - a beautiful meal of sea bream and a fabulous bottle of Savennières Chenin blanc to complement. The room was peaceful, and comfortable and the breakfast the following morning was great too. This is an oasis - go there just for the restaurant (on a day when it is open!) Fantastic, kind, friendly hosts - I will definitely try to go back.

A fantastic place to stay. Armelle and Charles were so welcoming and Armelle is a fabulous chef! Room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Food was excellent. Incredibly good value for money.
