“nice location and lovely staff but the management could do a lot better operationally”

Location was fantastic & staff were all very nice hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean I got the impression the staff were on zero hours contracts and the minute it went quiet, staff were sent home and bars and catering facilities just shut up A real shame tbh

“Excellent hotel. Rooms very acceptable but with a little TLC would be make them 5Star”

Lovely setting and plenty of character. Staff and food very good. Room needs a little TLC and flexi shower in bathroom. Over all excellent

“A beautiful setting with lovely and welcoming staff”

I recently stayed at the Kingfisher and overall had a lovely experience. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, definitely one of the highlights of the stay. The room itself was fairly basic, but clean and comfortable for a short stay. What really stood out was how lovely and friendly the staff were overall. The reception staff were especially fantastic - incredibly helpful, professional, and welcoming. They really set the tone for a positive experience. Special shout-out to Emma for all your help, you were brilliant! The bar and restaurant staff were also friendly, but I feel some additional training would be helpful. One thing that stood out was the bar staff frequently dropping bottles into the bin behind the bar from a distance, this created a loud and disruptive noise, especially when you're trying to relax. It wasn't just me who noticed, all three tables around me also commented on it happening persistently. That said, I would still recommend the Kingfisher. The location and setting are beautiful, the reception team is excellent, and all of the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming.
