Smethurst “Delightful.”

I needed a brief stop over in Arras whilst researching family history and found this B&B midway between the town of Arras and the WW1 battlefield nearby. This turned out to be an excellent choice, with a very nice room in a quiet residential development. Comfy bed, good night's sleep, hot shower and one of the best breakfasts I have had in any B&B - a great selection of cooked and Continental food, you won't go away hungry ! A warm welcome from our hosts who were very patient as we tried out our bit of French. English is spoken so there's no need to try French but we are trying to learn. It's all super new, clean and attractive. A good place to take a break if travelling to the Channel Ports and Arras and region is, of course, steeped in history.

Beautiful house on the outskirts of Arras. Lovely couple that run it. They were very welcoming and friendly. Evening being patient with my basic French! Comfortable room with private bathroom. If definitely stay there again.
