The motel is conveniently located and was clean and comfortable during my stay. I had no issues with the room or the location and everything was as expected. After my stay, I realized that I had accidentally left my second phone at the motel. The staff were very kind and helpful in this situation. They confirmed that the phone was found and later helped arrange shipping so I could get it back, which I truly appreciated. Thank you to the team for your help and for handling this situation with care.

I’ve stayed at El Portal three times, and I’ll definitely come back again. The motel offers spacious rooms equipped with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Ray, the office manager, is incredibly kind and always goes the extra mile to help and accommodate your needs. In fact, the excellent service she provided is the reason I chose to return for my third stay.

A lovely little traditional motel with everything you need. The rooms are clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and a large fridge. The lady at the front desk was helpful and welcoming and we even had a visit from a donkey while we sat outside our room with a glass of wine ! The location is good for visiting Death Valley and all the other local sites. The pool area is nice for cooling off although it's a little tired it's still nice and clean.
