The hotel is beautiful. The pool area is amazing. We had dinner and breakfast in a separate dining room, which was special and very convenient and relaxing with our dog. Food was great too! We would love to return in the future.

The room ("Ash") was lovely, with great facilities, toiletries etc. The food - dinner and breakfast - was extremely good, if a little expensive. The hotel itself is a delightfully quirky old house set in in beautiful grounds and was a lovely place to relax on a hot afternoon.

Breakfasts was wonderful. Good quality ingredients and lovely breakfast room. Good sheltered pool area. Heated. Nice garden although it could perhaps do with a little TLC around the edges. The dry weather hasn't helped I guess. Lovely decoration throughout. Room was called Beech and is double aspect with views across the front and side garden. Would recommend. Towels and bathrobes very good for a hotel. Comfortable bed. Thank you to the staff. Everyone was great.

This is our third visit as it's very convenient location for us for a few days stay after visiting family in the area. Elaine on the front desk is very pleasant, helpful on the ball & organised. (This was in stark contrast to one of the male receptionists seemed to us to take any opportunity to disappear from the desk, keeping us waiting at the empty desk for response to requests) The new chef is good. Breakfast is good. Evening meals good, & well cooked but not perhaps much choice on menu to my taste , this stops us wanting to eat in as often as we might like . Restaurant staff are very good, efficient. It would be useful to add a couple of less rich staples like sea bass & a pasta/ rice dish to the menu. We like the pool & location & loungers. We liked the fact that the dominant noisy family of 17 were housed in a separate dining room,so we could eat in peace. It has a shabby chic appeal which keeps us coming back.
