Old school travellers place. Very interesting and gracious owner. Non touristy location. Walk past a beach temple from the guest house and then through a pine forest to a meeting of a lake and the ocean. Tuk tuk ride 700 into Baticaloa,a lovely town to wander around. The owner will tell you where to eat for a local authentic experience. His recommendations worked every time. I also got lifts into town on his bike. The place is simple, but the wifi is good. Fan and mosquito net worked. Buy supplies and have a lovely breakfast prepared for you with gourmet presentation. Beautiful place.

Manoj is a truly wonderful host — kind, caring, and always respectful of space. The cabin has a warm, personal atmosphere with creative artwork and stories on the walls. Breakfast (masala dosa!) was delicious, and conversations with him felt meaningful and authentic. The beach is also close by, making it easy to enjoy the area.

A small little oasis set on the lagoon and walking distance from the beach. Host Mano, a great storyteller, was a charm always making sure you had or get what you needed. Very relaxed atmosphere and a great spot to past time. Outdoor shower was one of the best showers (pressure and shower head) I had on the whole trip.
