Due to a booking mix up, my room was upgraded for free to a twin room (queen/single) in the front wing with a private balcony and view across the valley to Mt Panorama. The rooms are well off the road and quiet. My room was well appointed with reverse cycle aircon that I put through it's paces on the sub-zero winter night, kitchenette with full sink, crockery, cutlery and all the tea & coffee stuff, a surprisingly large bathroom with generously sized shower cabinet and blessedly hot water (thank you so much) coming from the excellent shower head. Very comfortable bed, Power outlets at the bedside, bedside lamps with built-in reading lamps too if you're a mushroom like me preferring a low light option, tables and chairs inside and outside. Free continental breakfast fixings in the breakfast room. The exteriors are dated but my room had been tastefully refurbished and might well be the equal best room l've ever stayed in. What's not to like?

Free continental breakfast fixings in the breakfast room. The exteriors are dated but my room had been tastefully refurbished and might well be the equal best room I've ever stayed in. Spacious room, great amenities. I particularly liked the double bedside lighting. The breakfast was included in the price which was a huge bonus. Big TV . This place was a wonderful find. My only tiny issue was no heating in the bathroom which would have been the icing on the cake in winter. Bonus balcony with table and chairs and a nice country view.
