What an absolute find! Gutted we only stayed one night as this hotel is beautiful! We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked into reception. We were told we had been given an upgrade as the hotel was fairly quite, which was a lovely surprise! Our room was 10 minutes from being ready which was great because we had a drink at the bar whilst we waited, we were a bit early so this gave us a good excuse to relax, we say outside and watched the afternoon life in Bath (and made friends with the locals!) When we got to our room we were so impressed. It was a beautiful room with an enormous bathroom, the décor had so much character and it was spotlessly clean. It was so spacious, the perfect temperature and excellent facilities. We slept so well! Breakfast was fantastic, we both had a full English and had probably the best bacon I've tasted in a while! There was so much on offer, continental, cereals, yogurt, toast and a wide variety on the hot breakfast list too. Absolutely delicious! The reception staff, bar staff and breakfast staff were lovely, very attentive and polite. I will 100% be recommending The Abbey to everyone, thank you for a lovely experience!

Excellent location.Room was upgraded to family room so plenty of space.Good choice of food at breakfast.

Good location close to all the main 'sights' in Bath, in fact everywhere was walkable. Friendly staff who offered us an upgrade to a bigger room, but this had no view and I asked for an alternative. This room was adequate and had a coffee machine with espresso cups... always a bonus + a comfortable bed. There is also a lift, but not to all rooms.

My room was upgraded and very spacious - the movie themed rooms are the nicest. The location is excellent. I was also able to get into my room early.
