Very clean, quiet room. The bathroom was one of the best hotel bathrooms I have encountered: everything worked, the water temperatures and taps were all predictable and worked well; one wall was an enormous heated mirror (no condensation); heated towel rail and lovely towels. Excellent. The bed was large and comfortable. In the pub, we enjoyed the breakfasts and evening meals, served to a high quality by friendly staff. We liked the well kept Wadworth beer at a reasonable price.

The weather was good, which made the pub very popular, given there appears little choice in Old Basing. So much so most people were outside in the evening as they have lots of outdoor undercover seating giving it an almost festival feel. Anyhow it meant a lot of noise. Lots of people walking by late. There was a lot of light pollution into the rooms too as the courtyard/front to the rooms was filled with bright lights. The room itself is spacious, clean and a decent bathroom.

This was our second stay at Bartons Mill and once again it was thoroughly enjoyable. The location is perfect and the staff were friendly and professional. The room was spacious, comfortable and with a well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was of a good quality. Unfortunately there was an issue with WiFi not being available in the room but this was rectified as we were leaving and not a major issue for us

Lovely pub in a great riverside location. Near to the village of Old Basing. Comfortable spacious and stylish rooms around a courtyard in what looked like converted barn buildings. Easy and friendly check-in. All staff helpful. Tasty pub food available and a full breakfast included with the room.

Breakfast was amazing - the only thing was it was a 7.30 start - which isn't good for business travel
