Ena/Ina greeted warmly us when we arrived early from Vking Freya. She helped with our luggage when placing it in the locked baggage room. It is an excellent system whereby one is given red tickets for the number of pieces of luggage you are leaving. Ena/Ina also gave us Basel Cards which enabled us to travel by trams free of charge. The No 16 team is on the Ibis doorstep. Breakfast was Continental style and everything was freshly prepared. Scambled eggs were available as well as cooking your own hard boiled eggs. It was a welcome change from cooked breakfasts after five weeks in UK and river cruise.

the Hotel was located about 800m from the city centre, it is just a little walk to there. Staff was friendly. We had a pleasant stay. nice little Vietnamese restaurant in the neighbourhood.
