Great big rooms located beautifully. The staff is so nice and welcoming. Breakfast was very good. The outdoor shower in the room was so nice. We loved it.

In the Northern highlands about 50 mins drive north of airport. Coffee growing lands. Chose instead of staying in the City or near the airport - but we had to make the journey in the dark due to late arrival of plane which was a little hairy ! The hotel arranged to leave us a salad and some beers in our room fridge as we arrived too late for supper Charming staff Breakfast good , dinner menu quite varied and reasonably priced

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Chayote Lodge and it was the perfect place to relax after a long flight. The views from the room were amazing both during the day and night with all the lights of San Jose. The area is so peaceful and we really enjoyed a tour of a local coffee farm and an early morning bird tour, where the guide was so enthusiastic and we saw so many birds including toucans.
