The Receptionist was exceptional, we had to request another room which was near a lift or ground floor which she organised for us, resulting in an upgrade! We also loved the waiter at breakfast who was so friendly and chatted to us.

We had a one-night stayover here and picked the hotel for its closeness to the city center. The hotel is stylish, sits right across the park and allthough it is just a 5min walk from the "hustle" of Barnstable you can leave the window open and the only thing you hear is the seagulls - so, it´s very quiet. Breakfast was OK - english standard, but bear in mind that I compare it to two weeks of farmhouse/B&B breakfasts, where it can not hold its own (quite naturally I would say). The bathroom, albeit small, was very well designed for its size and left nothing to be desired. All in all a great place for a short stay.

Breakfast excellent- staff and food. Evening meal was like dealing with dumb and dumber. Clean, smart, upmarket, excellent location, just a few minutes walk into town and opposite a quiet park.
