Staff at the pub were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went over and above to make us feel welcome. The bedroom was beautifully presented, bed was comfortable with delicious homemade shortbread waiting for us on arrival along with a superb flat white coffee. We were grateful for good, easy to access secure bike storage. The meal both in the evening and for breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked.... an all-round superb spot to stay.

We were staying second time since 2021, and I have to say the room with deers was better. But nothing changed - same warm welcome and amazing location at the middle of Devon countryside. This is one of those places you always think to return!
