Excellent apartment in a fabulous location. Everything was clean and comfortable. The welcome pack of tea, coffee etc was great.

Although the kitchen and bathroom look a little dated the fridge is modern and so is the heating. Therefore, it was beautifully warm when we arrived which is welcome in February. The decoration is beautiful, parking was easy (I was worried with it being on street parking and arriving quite late) and it was very clean. The beds were comfortable and was also quite quiet and was extremely close to shops, restaurants etc... I loved the different levels of all the rooms, the gorgeous floorboards and soothing colours used to decorate. Yes, it has stairs but these for me were part of the charm of the property. The bathroom is not on the same level as the bedrooms but the owners have used movement sensing low level lights so going between the bathroom and bedrooms is really not a problem. (If you're OK with stairs). Barnard Castle is a lovely town with scenic walking routes straight from the town, the castle was worth visiting., we found good restaurants and cafes too.

We loved our stay here!!,the apartment was alot bigger than we thought , beautifully decorated and the Christmas decorations were a lovely touch as was the welcoming gift thankyou.Loved all the furniture and fittings.Great location 2 mins walk to were the shops etc are,it,s a very warm and cosy apartment beds were very comfortable aswell and the large kitchen was well equipped,We would also recommend visiting the pub opposite The old well inn for food and drinks,staff were really welcoming and friendly the the food was amazing.Thanks for a great stay and would highly recommend anyone to stay here.
