Decent hotel with a large lobby and decent rooms that are clean. The bed was really comfortable. This is as good as a budget hotel gets. The receptionists are good, they know their job. You'll feel okay here.

The location was fine daytime, but area quite dark and poorly lit to walk back to from the station at night with a kid. I should have checked this though before booking. The staff were lovely, very helpful

Stayed here several times over the past 10 years. Not much to complain about here. Night manager could be a bit more customer friendly, but the other staff I encountered at reception and the bar were excellent. Rooms are really good value given London prices generally and facilities the same. Great location only 10 min walk from Barking station where the tube will have you in central London in around 35 minutes.
