“The character and history of the house added a magical touch to our vacation.”

Very spacious and cozy house with an excellent host who provides exceptional guidance.

“Amazing house for company off-site”

We stayed at the house as part of our company off-site. The host, Patxi, was really nice and helpful. He even organised a parking permit for our rental car and offered us his spot in a parking garage. The house is amazing! As weird as it sounds, it is even larger than it looks like on the pictures - the 5 bedrooms are huge, and it has 2-3 living rooms (depending on how you count them) and 2 kitchens. Wow. It's located in a small city slightly outside Barcelona. You can walk down to the beach in 5 minutes or so. There are multiple restaurants within a similar walking distance, too. It's a perfect location if you're looking for a slightly quieter area but still within the vicinity of Barcelona.

“This place is really special, you will enjoy it. Great for large family or groups.”

Host was helpful, accomodating, and very nice. House is beautiful and special, private courtyard with pool, lots of room and great kitchens, bathrooms are lovely. The village is great too. A short walk to the beach, and although there is a steep hill up, our host was able to provide a key to an elevator that goes up most of the hill for one of our party who has a harder time walking.

“A perfect house in a perfect place.”

I enjoyed an absolutely incredible stay here with friends to celebrate my 60th birthday. We are a well-travelled global bunch and not easily impressed. Firstly Caldetta. What a beautiful little town. Beautifully situation clinging to the hillside with a beach stretching for miles. The chiringuitos situated all along the shore up to Port Balis are a delight to visit. There is no need for a car. There are some incredible restaurants all within walking distance and some more a 5 minute taxi ride away. The bakery is fabulous and a 3 minute walk for fresh bread and pasties. Opposite the market for fresh fruit and fish/shellfish. A small supermarket next door. A larger one 5 minutes away by car. The town is elegant and authentic and feels very safe. The train station, another 3 minute walk has trains every 15 minutes to Barcelona and Girona. We travelled to Barcelona for an afternoon. Plaça Catalunya is on the line and finds you in the centre of things and close to the metro. Now for the house. It is incredible. The rooms are large and spacious. The beds all very comfortable. Linen is gorgeous and all bathroom towels and beach towels available. The house is spotlessly clean. It is so still and quiet in the evening. Nothing to disturb a restful sleep. The kitchens are completely equipped with everything one would need and more. Eating outside is so lovely in the courtyard beneath the parasol. The pool was a gorgeous spot for a dip and in the sunshine from late morning. The hosts were above and beyond in terms of availability and helpful advice. Hugely accommodating. Bookings for restaurants made on our behalf and a local taxi driver arranged to take us to and from the airport and anywhere else. The house was THE perfect venue for a family or friends get together. It made my birthday a wonderful and incredible experience. There is nothing more to say other than it is more than worth the cost in so many ways and Caldes D’estrac is a rare find!
