Beautifully tranquil location and comfortable characterful accommodation with a well-equipped kitchen, huge covered balcony overlooking the tree-lined Hawkesbury river. The sauna deck was something I didn’t know I needed until now! Jake and Natasha are delightful hosts - friendly, helpful and they went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. A highlight was trekking half an hour through the bush to the old ‘dam’, an icy-cold plunge pool that we had to ourselves.

Kalighat River House exceeded our expectations! Set in Australian bushland with gorgeous water views, it was the ideal combination of adventure and relaxation. We spent our days fishing (caught Flathead, Bream and Blue Swimmer Crabs), hiking, and puzzling. Both hiking to the natural thermal pools and having BBQs with our fresh catches were highlights of our stay. Kalighat's host Jake was incredibly kind and helpful, he has built something very special on the river. Our dog Luna had the time of her life too! This spot is definitely worth coming back for - next time we can't wait to try the sauna precinct.

Beautifully designed with magical views, a huge deck, a very well stocked kitchen, comfortable and unique furniture and lots of entertainment. Loads of space for a family of 4. The book collection alone is extraordinary
