Lovely room and nice views of Bangkok. Possibly the best bathroom ever in a hotel at this price point. Obviously it's right in the Mahanakhon building so very handy for the skywalk and rooftop there, plus the SkyTrain is right opposite the hotel and 3 stops to the pier for riverboats. Breakfast was great with lots of options to choose unlimited a la carte from, including Thai options. All staff were great and super friendly and helped arrange airport taxi.

If you're wanting to go up to the viewing deck while visiting Bangkok, The Standard gives you a free entry after 7pm (so you miss sunset). The room was fine. Bathroom was great. Pool area was lovely, with the view of the building looming over you, it's pretty cool.

Really loved the rooms overlooking the Bangkok skyline, we had a room on the 17th floor which was very impressive. Bathroom was spotless and really big with a walk in shower and large bath. The lobby and all of the facilities are spotless and really done up well, the pool area is very busy but really nice area to relax and get some food and drinks although quite expensive. The parlour bar is also a nice touch too. Enjoyed having free access to the sky beach after 7pm with buy one get one free drinks and it had a great atmosphere up there with a dj.
