We absolutely loved our stay at Blackwell House and cannot recommend it enough. It is a beautiful, clean and incredibly comfortable guest house. Edele and Alessio paid attention to every detail and made us feel so welcomed. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and they helped make it extra special. Definitely have dinner and breakfast there, as the food is beyond delicious! I hope to be back soon!

We had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay! You can tell from the moment you step though the door that Steve and Joyce are focused on delivering a fabulous experience to their guests. You can see and taste the quality of the breakfast offerings and it’s such an added bonus that eggs are provided by their very own chickens. We dined in on our second night stay and opted for the 5 Course menu. Hands down the best meal myself and my husband have had in a very long time. The salad leaves from the garden was a nice touch. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Fresh milk in the fridge along with some bottled water was appreciated. Everything was spotless and good to see measures which were introduced due to Covid -19 remain as a good standard. The real stars of the show however were the welcome party - Murphy & Maggie (resident dog & cat) who I could have easily taken home! Can’t wait to visit again soon!

We had a lovely stay, with top tier experience from our hosts Alessio and Edele who made it wonderful. The bed was so comfortable to sleep in, a wonderful remote place to unwind and stunning freshly made food from local ingredients, the breakfast and dinner were delicious.

Beautiful country house renovated to a high standard, but still very comfortable- and relaxing. Fantastic food.
