Beautiful pub in a very picturesque area of the peaks. The rooms were comfortable and quiet plus the addition of fresh milk! The food was very good and the staff were very friendly.

Breakfast great, good choice and well presented. Room very clean,well stocked and comfortable. Staff incredibly friendly,helpful and professional. Great location easy to find and good parking.

Close to walks at Ladybower reservoir and Derwent Dam . Lovely welcoming pub and restaurant. We swapped our room for one with a bath after a long walk ( much needed ) staff could not have been more accommodating and were friendly, approachable and chatty . Room was lovely , with a bath and shower , large double bed slept well , very comfy . Had a meal in evening large portions ( just what you need after a good walk ) and sticky toffee pudding to share . Breakfast included cereals , yoghurt fruit plus choice of cooked breakfast .. very good breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay again .

The location just below the Ladybower dam is superb. The room was a compact double but had all the facilities needed and they all worked well, it was clean with a really comfortable bed. The bathroom had a large powerful shower and was everything we needed after day hiking to get there. The food was fairly typical pub-style food but was plentiful, tasty and good value for money. The choice of wines was also small but comprehensive and they were all great value. Also a good selection of beers.
