Oranuisce Thatched Cottage is an authentic cottage that has been faithfully and sensitively restored with taste. Just a couple of miles outside Ballyvaughan on the coast road to Blackhead. We explored a different beach each day, all within walking distance or a short drive. Hosts, Paul and Teri gave us excellent tips on local restaurants, pubs, the excellent local Centra managed by John, beaches etc. Paul and Teri were always available for any queries by text, despite it being Christmas week. The cows walked past the kitchen window outside the garden wall in the mornings. It was idyllic. Perfect for our small dog, he had a secure walled back yard when he wasn't exploring beaches.

So beautiful, tucked away in the Burren with a private beach nearby. Treats left for my puppy too.

No Breakfast provided, but none expected. The Thatch Cottage has obviously been recently renovated and it has been kept as original as possible taking into account modern convenience.

Loved the authentic and cosy cottage right by The Burren National Park—such a fantastic spot, and only about 30 minutes from the Cliffs of Moher, making day trips really easy. The setting is peaceful, and the nearby ocean besch and village are both beautiful and charming. The host was genuinely nice and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a real Irish cottage experience in a stunning location.
