Martin and Louise are lovely hosts. They are passionate about ‘doing it right’ - and certainly went the extra mile to make our (too short a) stay a memorable one. Our room was great. Very large, and well appointed with a super comfy bed and lovely white linen. Breakfast was super and the ‘take a piece with you’ home baking was lovely touch. We defiantly hope to visit again. Thanks Steve and Julie.

The location was beautiful and calm just a 5 minute drive from the charming town, Ballater. The hosts were warm and welcomming people that made the stay very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing and the room was large and very cozy. We had a fantastic couple of days here.

Loved the house, the views, the quiet surroundings, the fresh baked local foods, the beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, and of course hosts Martyn, Louis and their dog Monty. Super high level service, all you’ll ever need and more.

We stayed at Craggan for two nights, and the whole stay was just wonderful. The reception by Martyn was very warm, friendly and welcoming, the room was beautiful and very comfortable, and Louise's cooking was truly exceptional. All in all this was just a very pleasant stay for which we are very grateful. Located in the heart of Cairngorms there is plenty to do as well (we went for hiking, but just as easily we could have visited Balmoral castle for instance, or we could just have relaxed in the beautiful countryside), and Ballater has plenty of good options for dinner. We found our hosts extremely helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as they could. Louise's cooking is reason enough in itself to stay at this place, but truly the whole experience was just wonderful. Highly recommended!
